Let it Slow, Let it Slow, Let it Slow

Hello Reader!

I hope you are having a nice break, are surrounded by loved ones ❤️, and are enjoying some slowness. I'm also taking a break for the next two weeks! But, as my former french teacher used to say, to urge me to keep writing: "vacation... does not mean vacancy."

Musings

I take this opportunity to highlight once again a key principle of my work, and one of the key teachings I've learned over the past few years. Slowness is the key to any learning and change in our lives. Whether you're trying to get rid of pain, recovering after an illness or an injury, or dealing with mental health issues, you can only improve through slow, deliberate and conscious action.

it's like learning an instrument; first you learn the notes, then the melody, and then the symphony of all the instruments. Our society falsely promises that we can become virtuoso pianists after watching two instagram videos. I'm not saying everything is going to be excruciatingly slow and that it's going to take you years to heal, I'm just asking you to be patient with yourself and allow yourself to enjoy the process as much as the outcome. Like I told one of my clients a few weeks ago: the path is the destination. You're already there.
